The Edge of the Chasm
Picture taken at Alderley Edge, Poyton, Manchester.
So, this is the first photo I’ve taken in a while; or uploaded for that matter! This was taken at a location called ‘The Edge’, in Alderley. Right at the top is a man made flat covered in huge slabs of stone - it used to be a mine, but it now something of beauty spot. I believe it’s owned by the National Trust. I kept the exposure open for about a minute and a half, whilst a wireless flash was triggered in the crack below, (complete with red gel used to produce the colour), which in turn lit up the rising smoke released by a smoke pellet dropped into a container next to the flash. No editing what-so-ever on this one, it’s purely what it was in-camera. Hope you like
